Despite the ominous threat of rain, nearly 250 guests arrived from all over NYC and Long Island – Congregants, Camp alumni, Staff of the Diocese and trustees – to partake in Camp DeWolfe’s joyous Re-Opening Event on Sunday 3rd June 2012.

Bishop Provenzano offered a rallying sermon encouraging all in attendance to reconnect their parish families with the camp. Following Evening Prayer at the newly renovated St. Luke’s Chapel, the crowd gathered in front of the main buildings for a blessing and ribbon cutting. Hors-d’oeuvres and refreshments were offered in the reconstructed meeting hall. Dinner and fellowship concluded the event in the Davis Hall.

Guests were in awe of the massive reconstruction that Camp Directors, Matt & Emma Tees, undertook. Camp alumni shared fond memories of their experiences and were pleasantly surprised at how everything has been renewed and beautified.

Here are a few photo memories, and click here for the complete album.
