What should my RESIDENTIAL CAMPER bring?
Essential items: sleeping bag or blanket and sheets, pillow, play clothes, underclothes, pajamas, lightweight jacket or sweatshirt, sneakers, flip flops or sandals, toiletries (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc.), sunscreen, towel, one-piece bathing suit/trunks, rain gear, Bible, pen, medications (supervised by Health Center).
Optional items: camera, flashlight, water shoes, laundry bag, stationary and stamps, bug spray.
Casual modest clothing that can get dirty should be packed (no short shorts, skirts, halter-tops or belly shirts). Please have camper’s name on all clothes and belongings. One piece bathing suits must be worn for girls. No Speedo’s for boys, please.
What should my RESIDENTIAL CAMPER NOT bring?
Campers may NOT bring any of the following items to camp: cell phones, pagers, lap tops, radios, TV’s, gaming systems, MP3 players, any electronic devices, gum, knives, cigarettes/tobacco, drugs, alcohol, fireworks, or firearms. Camp DeWolfe staff reserves the right to confiscate any inappropriate items; they will be returned to camper’s parents upon departure.
What should my DAY CAMPER bring?
Campers will need to bring the following items: one-piece (girls) bathing suit, towel, tennis shoes, water shoes, water bottle, sunscreen, change of clothes, Bible, pen, medications (supervised by Health Center). Lunch and snacks are provided.
What should my DAY CAMPER NOT bring?
Campers may NOT bring any of the following items: cell phones, extra food/snacks, pagers, computers (including gaming systems), radios, TV’s, MP3 players, knives, cigarettes/tobacco, drugs, alcohol, fireworks or firearms.
Can I fax in my registration form?
We must have the original copies.

What is the registration deposit fee?
A non-refundable $100 deposit per session must be paid at the time of registration for both day and residential. Full payment is due by June 1st. If registering after June 1st, full payment is required at the time of registration.
What time is Check-in and Check-out?
Residential Camp: – Check-In – Sundays at 1pm; Check Out – Fridays 4pm
Day Camp: Check-in: 9am each week day; Pick-up: 4.45pm – 5pm each week day

How can I pay for camp?
You can pay by check, money order, debit or credit card. If you register online, payment must be by credit or debit card. Checks made payable to ‘Camp DeWolfe’.
Do you have a scholarship program?
Yes. Our scholarship program is from the Episcopal Charities Scholarship Fund and is intended for those families and children that are in true financial need. To qualify for a scholarship of up to 50% award by May 1st or up to 25% award by June 1st, a sponsor or parent/guardian must complete a Scholarship Application with evidence. Camp DeWolfe will review the request and inform you if you are chosen to be a scholarship recipient.
Can I come and do a tour before I sign my child up for camp?
We offer an annual open house in May. No charge! Email office@campdewolfe.org or call (631) 929 4325 to confirm you and your family and friends are coming to enjoy a day at Camp with a free meal! We do not do individual tours.
What types of activities do you have?
Kayaking, Canoeing, Sailing, Paddle-Boarding. Swimming, Archery, High Ropes Elements, Low Ropes Elements Course, Drama, Fishing, Climbing Wall, Model Rockets, Wilderness/Survival, Christian Formation, Basketball, Softball, Arts and Crafts, Volleyball, Gaga Ball, Group Games…just to name a few.
What types of Bible activities do campers do?
Campers have Bible study/devotionals in the evening with their cabin.
Campers have Christian Formation in the St Luke’s Chapel in the morning and evening. This is full of songs, games, activities an interactive Bible studies. There is a different visiting chaplain/pastor each week. There is a weekly Eucharist/Communion too! The curriculum is from Inside Out – Christian Resources for Outdoor Ministries.
What are the hours for your Day Camp?
Day Camp runs from 9am – 5pm Mondays – Fridays. Lunch and snacks are included in the weekly price.
Can campers request roommates?
Yes. Please do this on the camper registration form, for up to 2 roommate requests. Campers must be NO MORE than 12 months apart. You may also request a roommate when you register online.
How many kids are in a cabin?
There are up to 10 campers per cabin with a minimum of two counselors for residential camp.
There are up to 10 campers with one counselor for day camp.
How are the campers divided by age?
Residential camp:
Explorer Camp 6-day session: 7-12 years old
Discovery Camp 12-day session: 7-13 years old
Adventure Camp 12-day session: 11-15 years old
Leaders in Training (LIT) 5 week session: 15-17 years old
Day Camp:
7-13 year olds during the Explorer and Discovery Camp weeks
11-15 year olds during the Adventure Camp weeks

May campers bring fans?

Can I call my camper during the week?
Campers may not receive phone calls while at camp, to not distract from their activities and to make it fair for all campers. You are more than welcome to call the camp office and check in with the director though! Please send faxes, emails or regular mail to your camper. Be sure to include their full name! Our mailing address is 408 North Side Road, Wading River, NY 11792 Emails may be sent to office@campdewolfe.org Please include their cabin number or counselor name, if you have them. No attachments or photos, please. Text only.
My camper has to leave camp early. What is the notification process?
If your camper needs to leave early, please call the office 631-929-4325 and give the office the time and day that you need to pick them up. That way your camper will be ready when you arrive. You can also let us know when you check your campers in.
Someone other than me (the legal guardian) is going to pick up or drop off my camper. Do I need to notify the office?
Yes. We want your camper to be safe. Please fax (631-929-4323) or mail a letter stating the person’s name and that it is okay for them to pick up your camper. Make sure to sign the letter. This is REQUIRED for anyone other than you picking up or dropping off your camper. We will check ID.
What is the snack fee?
Overnight campers have a snack everyday. They can get water, juices, chips, cookies, fruit, nuts and lots of other goodies. This is included in their registration fee.
How do I find out what weeks are full?
Sessions that fill will be noted on the Online Registration Form itself. If you still have questions, call the camp office 631-929-4325.
Will my summer camp spot be held if I send in just a registration form?
No. We require a completed registration form accompanied with a non-refundable $100 Registration Deposit. Full payment is due by June 1st. If registering after June 1st, Full payment is required. If payment is not made in full by June 1st, your spot may be forfeited and a late registration fee of $100 applied.
