Family Camps, Family Getaways, Family Retreats and Personal Retreats are an option for families and individuals that are ready to get out and are feeling comfortable heading to Wading River this summer and fall!
Camp DeWolfe re-opened its facilities and resources when Suffolk County entered Phase 4 of the NY Forward Plan, adhering to CDC guidelines including social distancing found here and below. Following CDC and Suffolk County Department of Health social distancing guidelines, families are to bring their own pre-made picnics and drinks, in own coolers, to enjoy in any of the outdoor spaces around camp. For overnight groups of over 15, there are also meal options now available with individually packaged meals.
Family Camps, Family Getaways, Family Retreats and Personal Retreats are offered year-round. Seasonal activities are offered until the end of September. Families can participate in a choice of boating activities on the Long Island Sound, including kayaking or canoeing, learn some archery skills or enjoy arts and crafts or biking! The morning activities will be scheduled from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. and the afternoon activities will be scheduled from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Families will have free time to enjoy their own picnic in the outdoors across the grounds, enjoy the Stations of the Cross nature trail and outdoor walks between 11:00 to 1:30 p.m. Everyone will then be able to enjoy private lodging in their designated family cabin or lodge. Departure is by 11:00 a.m. on departure day.
Families must register online here and complete all required forms prior to arrival. The program fee is $75 per person per night, for lodging and activities (no meals) or $105 per person per night including meals. Children 5 and under are free. Families may include immediate family members, relatives or friends. There must be one supervising adult at least 18 years of age for every four minor children (under 18 years of age). Supervision of the family group at camp is the responsibility of the adults. The maximum group size is 10 including adults and youth.

-Guests and visitors will wash or sanitize their hands before entering camp and as often as needed.
-CDC physical distancing requirements will apply for all staff and guests/visitors throughout the program, except to those who reside in the same household.
-The two DeWolfe Hall bathrooms will be available during family programs. All guests must wear masks inside these buildings. Staff will sanitize the bathroom facilities after each program.

-Staff will be sanitizing all equipment and supplies handled by individuals after each program.
