Demo at Camp

This week, the Meeting Hall, Kitchen and Chapel were all gutted from old and broken and damaged wood/metal/plumbing/floors etc…. much needed removal as you can see below…Kitchen…Old sinks and plumbing removed…Former staff toilet (!)…Former hand sink removed…Meeting Hall…Now longer and lighter…Ready for a new store room…Insert new classroom here…There is also a landscaping project with tree trimming and bush clearing too...

From Brooklyn to Wading River

One of the Camp DeWolfe Board of Managers, Adam Zaher, gave up part of his Christmas vacation to volunteer at Camp DeWolfe this week! Adam served with a smile and enthusiasm after traveling from Brooklyn to Wading River. He willingly cleared a basement so that contracted work could continue with electrical installations, and made and posted Fire Alarm signs in cabins. Adam also assisted with distributing camp maps and retreat guest information cards to each of the accommodations too. Demo of the Meeting Hall

This week, demo work has been done in the Meeting Hall to prepare for new bathrooms, new floor, larger meeting spaces, and new heating systems…. Future window inserted on this wall to create more light… meeting hall will have optional divider for two meeting spaces or one large space… Future meeting room for up to 25 guests – west wing… Future storage room and offices. – east wing … Please pray for the safety and dedication of the contracted workers and their teams.
