On November 11thCamp DeWolfe will officially launch its 70th Anniversary Celebrations, at the Diocese of Long Island’s 150th Convention at the Melville Marriott. Seven celebratory events, have been planned to mark this special year in the camps history. Camp representatives will be distributing information about all the 2017 “Anniversary” events, program offerings, and special “Anniversary year” promotions.
2017 marks the 70th Anniversary of the Camp. Opened in 1947 by Bishop DeWolfe, Camp DeWolfe, is the Diocese of Long Island’s official summer and Camp and Retreat Center located in Wading River NY. Camp DeWolfe welcomes thousands of retreat guests and summer campers each year as it fulfill its mission of “Changing Lives, Sharing Christ”. All are welcome to join campers, parents, families, alumni and Camp staff members to mark this very important time in the Camp’s history. Join Bishop Provenzano at this special event in support the ongoing mission of Camp DeWolfe. Hear about how donations are positively affecting lives each day and join us as we honor 70 years of ministry in Wading River. Seats are extremely limited.
- 2. Anniversary Celebration Service: Cathedral of the Incarnation- 10am, June 3rd.
This special service will commemorate the storied past, active present and hopeful future of Camp DeWolfe and is sponsored by the Cathedral of the Incarnation, the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries, and Board of Managers of Camp DeWolfe. A BBQ lunch will follow.
