Camp DeWolfe is now listed as a registered summer camp through the American Camp Association, offering camperships to families impacted by Hurricane Sandy. See below for the following press release for more information…

Dear ACA, NY and NJ Members,

I wanted to share with you that we announced the Heal the Children camp scholarship program to the media yesterday and have gotten an amazing response.  For those who aren’t aware of the program, we are asking accredited camps to donate camperships to families impacted by Hurricane Sandy. The goal is to give children a great summer camp experience while families have a chance to rebuild their lives. We have over 100 camps that have signed on at this point, but the phones are ringing off the hook with families who need our help!

At NYSCDA’s Lobby Day yesterday, we held a press conference where Republican Conference Leader Dean Skelos and Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, along with President of ACA, NY and NJ Scott Ralls and NYSCDA President Ross Coleman, announced the program to a room full of both national and regional press.

Simulatneously, we sent a press release to New York and New Jersey media announcing the program.

Many media outlets have picked up the story, with new stories continuting to run.  Media includes Associated Press, Wall Street Journal, New York Post,, New York Daily News, Times Herald Record, Capital Tonight, and more.  Below are some of the initial media hits.
