Posted on Feb 6, 2014

What’s your name?  Rebekah Joyce

What’s your age? 21

What’s your hometown? Auckland, New Zealand

What college/university do you attend? What major? I studied at KingsWay Christian School for seven years then went to Excel Christian Performing Arts school- Studying a Major in Vocals and Minor in Drama.

What’s your favourite food? – I love my food, but here’s a few of my favourites, Chicken, Oranges, chocolate, lollies and pasta.

What’s your favourite camp activity and why?-I have a few camp Activities that I like such as swimming and arts and crafts but my favourite would have to be Acting Activities-such as ice breaker games and big group games- just to get everyone out of their comfort zone and feel included.

What are you most looking forward to about summer 2014 and why?

I’m looking forward to making new friends and learning new skills to empower children with their walk of faith and to encourage them, while having fun at camp.

What’s your favourite camp core value (community, Christian Formation, Developing Leaders or Natural Setting) and Why?

My favourite camp core value is Christian Formation because it lets children have space to grow in all aspects of worship (bible, music, prayer, reflection) where they can engage with God and be encouraged by leaders and their friends.

What do you love most about Camp DeWolfe?

-What I love most about Camp DeWolfe is that it serves the same beliefs and morals I believe and was brought up around. I am very excited to work alongside all the Camp DeWolfe staff.

What’s your dream job/vocation/calling for life?

-I believe my calling is to work alongside Children, as I have such a passion for it. As I participated in a Missions trip to Tanzania, visiting churches, orphanage’s and primary schools, small group leading, last year I had done some preschool relieving and also took part of bible in schools around Auckland primary school. I would love to be a drama/music teacher or a preschool teacher.
