On March 18th, 2017, Bishop Lawrence C. Provenzano of the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island will host the 70th Anniversary Benefit Gala at Camp DeWolfe in Wading River, New York. This special event will be a look back at the past seven decades of God’s work at and through this wonderful camp. It will also be an opportunity for the Bishop and Camp to recognize the commitments of The Venerable Canon Jerome and Ruth Nedelka to supporting the ministry of Camp DeWolfe throughout the decades by presenting them with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Nedelkas have both served on the Board of Managers at Camp DeWolfe, Fr. Jerome in the 1970s and Ruth in the 2000s. They have seen both struggle and triumph at Camp DeWolfe and, throughout it all, have been a voice of support with adults and children in their parishes and throughout the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island. They continue to pass on their love of Camp DeWolfe to their grandchildren, who travel from Virginia and New Jersey to attend summer camp at Camp DeWolfe every year!
The event starts at 1PM with welcome and hors d’oeuvres. Lunch will be served at 2PM with entertainment and awards to follow. If you would like to attend this wonderful event celebrating God’s ministry through Camp DeWolfe and through the Nedelkas you can do so by registering on the Camp DeWolfe website. To register simply fill out the form on our Donation page (https://campdewolfe.org/donate-online-today/) listing your $100+ donation in the 70th Anniversary Benefit Gala event box.
