The last Thursday night of each camp session here at Camp DeWolfe we have a Eucharist with our visiting chaplain. Our closing Eucharist is one of the highlights of our camping program and our campers are always active participants in the program. Part of their participation is to write the “Prayers of the People” to be used in the service. Our LITs got to write the Collect for our final Eucharist of 2016. I invite you to read these prayers and pray them, aloud or silently. You will be praying with our Adventure campers and Leaders in Training.

Collect – 2016 Leaders in Training

Gracious God, we pray for peace for those have faced injustice, that they may have the courage and strength to forgive. We pray for the ability to trust those within our camp community and those at home in those places we live; that we may take that trust wherever we go. We pray that people will feel God’s love around the world and have the boldness to step out in faith. May God’s light be in our presence always. Amen.
