My best memory of camp would have to be when I led spiritual formation. Spiritual formation is key to the Christian faith and to have the chance to share the word of God is an honor. I hope my story hit the campers and that they take something home with them. I learned that kids react to different situations and, sometimes, they just want to be heard and be given attention. Also even the most troubled kid can learn to be kind when you believe in them. Kids seek hope and we, as adults and leaders, have to give a kid hope. I am going to take away from camp is that kids seek a role-model and they lookup to adults for that. For this reason, we “leaders” must be on guard and be on our best behavior yet also know that no one is perfect.
